In Austin, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across Texas, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Loyalty programs are common and worth joining if you are a regular.

Austin is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Austin follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Really enjoyed my visit to Monkey Nest. I ordered the Chimpansandwich and it hit the spot — tasty, spicy, and seriously filling. It had just the right amount of kick without overpowering everything else. Definitely something I’d order again. The coffee was excellent too. It came out nice and hot, tasted fresh, and was clearly made with good-quality coffee. The service was friendly and prompt without feeling rushed, which I really appreciated. The space itself has a warm, welcoming, laid-back feel that makes you want to hang around for a while. It feels like a genuine neighborhood coffee shop rather than another cookie-cutter café. Good food, quality coffee, friendly people, and a comfortable atmosphere. Monkey Nest is one of those places that just feels very Austin. An Austin treasure and an easy five stars from me.

went here earlier to get some work done and have a snack and i really enjoyed it! i went probably at a “prime time” so parking was pretty filled— i was able to snag a spot though! it’s all right along the side of the cafe which is good. the food was super yummy! they had a variety of options, from refrigerated sandwiches/snacks to tacos. i opted for a “tacombo”, which was 2 tacos for a slightly cheaper price than buying two individually. both tacos came with Cholula which was a nice touch! next time, i definitely want to try one of the large scones they have to offer… the drink was also really great! i pretty much only get an iced chai latte wherever i go, and today was no different. however, i will say, this exceeded my expectations. not only was it yummy, one of the baristas offered to sprinkle some cinnamon on top! definitely going to come back just for that drink. all in all, i had a really great time here today! it was a perfect spot to grab a bite/drink and lock-in for some work. will be coming back soon!

I've been wanting to check this place out since it's close to my home, and I finally had the perfect opportunity. So I walk in, and it seems like a pretty cool vibe, not too heavy on the hippie vibe, but closer to the stoner. So I scan the menu, which is very small, it's like trying to read one of the eye doctor tests. A little lighting on the board would have helped, so it took a lot longer to find what piqued my curiosity. So I decided to be basic and got a spiced brown sugar frap. So im waiting to place this order I stand at the counter almost 5 minutes watching all the staff look me directly in the eye and never acknowledging im standing here no well be with you in one second no nothing they carry on the conversation amongst each other then finally I guess they got tired of playing whose going to wait on the ghost game and finally one of them broke from what seems to be routine and addressed my order. So my gf and I ordered our coffees and tacos. The girl pauses in the middle of the order and walks over to grab breakfast tacos from the cooler. I was kinda annoyed that you have a kitchen, but I'm getting these pre-made gas-station breakfast tacos that I assume are batch-cooked w

I recently got the Austin Coffee passport and this was my first stop and they were so kind!! And on top of that, the latte tasted amazing and the inside of the shop has lots of spaces to sit. The only issue I have is that the parking lot is always full haha!

Monkey Nest Coffee is a great spot if you’re looking for a place to settle in with a coffee, get some work done, or simply relax for a while. The space is quite large with plenty of seating, which makes it comfortable whether you’re meeting friends, studying, or spending a few hours working on your laptop. I tried one of their specialty drinks, and it was excellent—well made, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. The coffee menu has a good variety, and they also offer food options if you want something to snack on while you’re there. One thing that makes this place memorable is the fun monkey-themed décor throughout the café. You’ll notice it everywhere, which adds personality and gives the place a unique charm. It almost feels like a little cultural hub where people come to hang out, work, chat, or just enjoy the atmosphere. Overall, Monkey Nest Coffee offers a relaxed vibe, good drinks, and plenty of space to spend time comfortably. A solid coffee spot in Austin that’s definitely worth visiting if you want a laid-back place to unwind.
